Multiple sources at Google are reported that Google is in final neogotiations to acquire Digg for 2 Million Dollars (That’s not a typo, 2,000,000 buckeroos). It would become a part of the Google News service (which grabs stories from news sources, rather than user submissions, like Digg). However, it could take a few weeks before it closes. Digg’s revenue comes from a ad deal from Microsoft that lasts about 3 years, but that would probably be terminated in favor of AdSense (Google’s ads).
